Extra added lights only turn on together with high beam and only if they have first been activated in the vehicle setup menu (F4) The activation of the extra lights will automatically be disabled if you make constructive changes to your truck in a workshop, and sometimes a game update also results in the extra lights being disabled.
In game, depending on how low the pressure is (unless they changed the settings), you can't even start. If thats the case one needs to run the engine on higher revs in Neutral gear for a couple of seconds, maybe a minute.

Got lots and lots of mods on the go. Tyres, better street lights,truck lights, full interior mods, snow falling and on roads, engine sounds and things like skins and better traffic and more varied traffic. If you disable a mod generaly it's a red exclamation mark (warning that a mod is disabled) when you load. Click continue and it loads just fine.
First press gets you the light setup where there are two check-boxes to enable accessory lights. Second press is the mirror setup and third press is the cabin setup for seat, wheel and driver position. Once the extra lights are enabled they will come on when you use the high beams (K). #2. The low beam is switched on with 2 presses of a key (the default is the "L" key) - 1st press activates daytime running lights, but there you can not use high beam. ETS2 doesn't take in account country/state particular laws when it comes to headlights. Basically, you'll get a ticket if you don't have full headlights during nighttime, starting around 20 / 8PM i think and until 6 or 8 AM. You also need full headlights in rainy weather. It's common sense really.

Such lights provide much bigger field of view. Emergency light ([F4] + [4] by default) is a blinking orange lamp located at the top of the truck (if you buy it) and the trailer (if it is assembled there). If you buy additional front and roof lights you can turn them on. The truck not only looks better but you see the road better as well
