The campaign of bad company 2 could use some improvement, instead of the sandbox style campaign in the first bad company DICE has chosen to make the campaign to be a one way campaign. Although this is good for a first time play it is severely lacking in replay novelty.
A good place for new players to enter is Bad Company's single-player campaign. That's right, a Battlefield game has a bona fide single-player campaign and not a collection of multiplayer maps
This is what happens when gamers ask for a campaign for a game that should be and historically is focused on multiplayer. I agree, honestly did not enjoy the single player that much at all. Battlefield Hardline single player was a lot more enjoyable, i played hardline single player straight after finishing BF4.

BC2 maps were tightly packed and vehicles weren't emphasized nearly as much. End result being the game was much more friendly to infantry players looking for instant action. IMO, BF3 and BF4 are superior Battlefield games, BC2 was a good spinoff in its own right. Sniping was so freaking fun and rewarding in BC2.

Howdy fellow gamers! I just got the Xbox game pass, which makes a couple Battlefield games available for me. To be precise: Bf 1, Bf 1943, Bf 3 and 4, Bf V, Bf Hardline, and Bf Bad Company 1 and 2. Hence my question, in what order should I play them? I'm only interested in single player campaign/story mode, and i have already played Bf1 on my PC.

Bad Company 2, Violence 2/10 (unless blowing up planes is violent). most of the gameplay in this game is driving flying or protecting an outpost. this is not the kind of game were you DON'T sit in a machine and gun people down. it has good role models and a good story! Battlefield Bad Company’s solo campaign has great characters and blowing stuff up is fun, even if it all does look quite fake. Still the action lacks the final kick for greatness, now it's merely good fun. Multiplayer is the true heart of the game and makes good use of the destructible environments.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is definitely a departure from the last game's theme. The characters remain mostly the same, but Bad Company 2 doesn't focus as much on trying to be a comedy like we saw
