I'm going to have a go at building this Me 262:-. Photographed after the German surrender in the hands of the RAF. The Hobbyboss kit has the right decals for this aircraft, but their painting guide bears little resemblance to the photos. So I'm going with the Airfix guide, which appears to be much better researched. Sprue shots plus PE seat belts.

I actually now ordered some Tamiya and Hasegawa that i got for around 20 Euros a piece for 1:48 jets, while having mostly built Trumpeter and Hobby Boss before. Trumpeter occasionally has molding issues, and a slight course texture on their plastic, but the models in general are great and great value for the money.
The revolutionary Messerschmitt Me262 was the first jet powered plane to see service. The construction of pre-production aircraft designated Me262 A-0 started in April 1944 but the fighter production version that should have been the first version to be mass-produced was delayed because of Hitler's strict contrary orders prioritizing the deployment of fighter/bomber A-2a version.

Well Tamiya only makes the straight-up A-1a and A-2a, and for just those basic versions is probably the one I'd recommend. But Hobby Boss does several of the crazy variants - the U4, U5 (the one with six 30s), etc. They aren't doing 262Bs (yet). But if you really want to go big on a 262, get the Trumpeter 1/32!

I would also go for the Hobby Boss range of ME-262. Fairly well engineered, good range of variants from standard fighter (262 A-1) through to more experimental versions (cannon in nose 262 A-1/U4) and 2-seater nightfighter versions (262 B-1a/U1), they also come with pre-shaped nose weight which forms part of the nose structure of the kit!

A joy to build .It all fits perfect. Only filler needed is with the fuselage top part.Cockpit to fin. I believe this is a seperate part to make it as two-seat nightfighter.Don't know if their is one. It does look a bit like a toy and lacks a lot of detail for such a big scale.It does have a simple cannonbay.
